Dog Training
Positive Reinforcement can be used to achieve just about anything!
Private training sessions last 60 minutes and are conducted with the dog guardian receiving demonstrations and being instructed by the trainer while performing training exercises.
Common concerns to seek training include:
leash pulling
reactivity
greeting manners
recall
object destruction
public manners
gear fear
and force/stress free grooming care
Private sessions are great for reactive dogs, in-home concerns, and dog guardians seeking more one-on-one attention and less time pressure than group classes can offer. Private sessions are typically conducted within the home, but offsite excursions can be arranged for public training work.

The Dog Trainer: Clinton
I have countless hours of personal training experience with my own dog over the past two years, beginning in puppyhood. In addition, I have also spent many hours shadowing my mentor, Abbie Volpone, at numerous private client sessions as well as student teaching group classes both for Canine Good Citizen Test Prep and a Reactive Rover course. Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during a training session?
Your sessions are catered to you and your dog’s needs. This might mean working in the home on proper behaviors, taking a walk to learn loose leash walking, or going on an adventure to somewhere they can work on reactivity.
Do I need to have anything ready for the training session?
Common tools used during these sessions include treats, harness and/or collar, long leash, short leash, enrichment toys or puzzles, potty doorbell, in-home barriers, and any other gear the trainer might recommend after the consultation.
The best treats to use are high value treats such as smelly meats or cheeses. You can also use some of their kibble if that works for them. Whether using treats or kibble, make sure to adjust their meal time servings so they aren’t over eating. Trainer may also use personal gear to conduct demonstrations or make product suggestions.
How many sessions will my dog need?
Short answer- it’s hard to say.
Longer answer- it depends on many factors such as how old the dog is (puppies will need a lot more work and time), how regularly you schedule sessions, and how much time you put into the dog’s training inbetween the sessions. To make meaningfull changes in your dog’s behavior will take committment and dedication to the skills you’re trying to teach your dog. The more effort you put in, the more your dog will benefit.
Why should I book with you?

What happens if there is bad weather?

Must give 48 hours notice before the first visit of your booking to cancel. If less than 48 hours you will be charged the equal of 2 days booked or the remaining booked visits, which ever is less. The rest will be added as credit to your account.
Early Returns qualify as a cancel and would require the 48 hours notice for all visits.
